On my first pass through the data, I found 43 regions each with population over 3 million which were losing life expectancy in 2021. Outliers with very low or very high life expectancy were removed.
When you go back to late 2021 to compare their jab uptakes in a head-to-head comparison with the world uptake level, most of them were found to be higher than the world average.
But if jab uptake was helpful in preventing loss of life expectancy in 2021, then you’d expect for most of these “life-expectancy-losing” regions to be at least below the world average in jab uptake.
Here are the notes showing head-to-head comparisons with the world rate on days as close as possible to 10 Nov 2021:

The average ratio of jab uptake levels in these “life-expectancy-losing” regions, when compared to the world, was 1.14 — indicating that they jabbed their people approximately 14% more than the world, as a whole, did.
