PragerU just put out a 5-minute video by Daniel Hannan called A Moral Case for Capitalism:
It is an excellent piece of work. Here is the sign-off at the end of it:
Under capitalism, we need to think of what other people want, of what we can do for them.
It is how we get ahead.
Whereas socialism replaces our natural human relations with state control, capitalism draws us into productive networks of mutual dependency. We become more attentive, more empathetic, and, thus, more aware of the case for universal human rights.
Capitalism doesn’t just make us better off. It makes us better people.
Because we’ve been moving away from capitalism in the USA, we’re becoming “worse people” — but we could turn it around and become better people once again, like we used to be. It would require rejecting all proposals for a Great Reset or for “government growth” in any arena (health, medicine, environment, education, etc).
