When Denmark looked at their blood bank data, they computed the number of Omicron infections and found the 30-day Omicron Infection Fatality Rate (O-IFR) by age bands. Using the conservative limit from their 95% confidence interval, here are the number of Omicron infections required to produce one death:

Because it takes so many Omicron infections to produce a death, and because Omicron was dominant for all of 2022, any excess death in 2022 would be suspicious. When the Society of Actuaries tracked the life insurance claims of 2022, here is the percentage excess death that they found for those from age 25 to 54:

A crude estimate of the total number of Omicron infections required to produce that much death is 1 billion infections during 2022:

But that is preposterous, so the excess death of 2022 in these age groups has got to be due to something else besides COVID. The prime suspect is the COVID shot.
