Freedom of Info Request in Sweden (#3)
Answer to Critics regarding supposedly lop-sided Age-structure of the "ever-jabbed"
When comparing monthly COVID death rates between those never-jabbed and those who have, at least at some point, taken a jab — then one potential criticism is that the groups are too different in age and that it’ll skew or bias the comparison.
Because the elderly were prioritized for vaccine, the critics say, you are simply capturing the difference in death rates between the old and the young. But by September of 2021, the number of non-elderly who had taken at least one jab far exceeded the number of elderly who did.
It’s not because the percentage-share of those ever-jabbed went higher, as there has always been a higher percentage of the elderly jabbed than of the non-elderly. Instead, it is because the relative population size of the non-elderly is over 3 times as large as the population of elderly, according to the World Bank.
If 95% of a subset which is originally 20% of the total population (ie, 95% of the elderly) is jabbed, then that makes for 19% of the total population. However, if 70% of a subset which is 62% of the population is jabbed (70% of the non-elderly), then that makes for 43% of the total population.
The non-elderly are then making up more than two-thirds of the “ever-jabbed” from that point, going forward. After September of 2021, at least 3 of every 4 persons jabbed was “non-elderly.”
This approaches the underlying population age structure of Sweden (20.3% elderly).
Let’s look at the monthly COVID death rates from September of 2021, going forward, when the vast majority of “ever-jabbed” people were non-elderly:
The October 2021 numbers are especially troubling, when deaths per million of the ever-jabbed was almost 3 times as high as the never-jabbed — though the overall COVID death rate was relatively low during that month.
Thanks again to Jessica Rose (Unacceptable Jessica) for bringing to light the released data by the government of Sweden — and for making it so understandable.
