Imagine being a generation in the future, and looking back at how COVID was handled. Officials stated that vaccines were helping to keep people out of the hospital, after classifying the “unvaccinated” in a very special way.

Yes, don’t rub your eyes. You are reading that correctly. They are saying that 2 doses is much better than no doses at top — while defining no doses as being within 28 days of Dose 1.
Here is how it looks in a timeline format:
There had BETTER be an apparent benefit to double-dose vaccination (to the right of the purple section) compared with “no dose” vaccination (orange section) — because the vaccine has had 5 full weeks to cause hospitalization before they begin to call the patient “fully-vaccinated.”
Future generations will look back on this generation in shame though, because of how inherently dishonest it is to use such “shifted goalposts.”
