If you take the 25 regions with the greatest loss of life expectancy in 2021, they all lost at least two full years of life expectancy in that single year. But an interesting question would be:
How does their 2021 loss compare to the change in life expectancy that they experienced during 2020?
Disturbingly, many of these worst outcomes of 2021 didn’t have it so bad under COVID in 2020. Some were gaining life expectancy in 2020, becoming healthier as a nation. Here is a scatterplot where the change in life expectancy for 2020 (in years) is on the horizontal axis, while the 2021 change is plotted on the vertical axis:
Notice how it is that 8 of these 25 nations did not have any kind of a loss of life expectancy in 2020. Also note how that “protection” did not carry over into 2021, when COVID jabs were introduced.
While not significant, the general trend line shows that doing better in 2020 under COVID meant doing even worse after COVID jabs rolled out in 2021.
The two nations at left, Oman and Colombia, were the only two of the 25 nations which did as poorly under COVID (2020) as they did under COVID-plus-the-COVID-jabs (2021). The other 23 places (92% of the sample) grew worse after COVID jabs rolled out.
