Selected sample of 43 Nations shows no benefit to Life Expectancy from having High Jab Uptake
All over 3 million population, all losing life expectancy in 2021, all non-extreme life expectancy baselines
In this previous Substack, I grabbed a sample of 43 nations and found most had COVID jab uptake rates higher than the world average in Nov 2021. Here is a scatterplot of them:
Notice how there is no robust trend in the values — with only 1% of lost life expectancy explained by jab uptake (R-squared = 0.0121). Here is the same plot with some of the nations named:
Note: the Bosnia & Herzegovina loss of life expectancy is in error (that loss was for Botswana). I will repost the correct chart soon.
The worst place to look for protection using COVID jabs is Cuba. They had the highest jab uptake but also the second highest loss of life expectancy in 2021 — losing almost 4 full years of life expectancy compared to 2020.
That’s a greater rate of lost life expectancy (-4 years-per-year) than was seen in Soviet Russia in all but its single worst year (see chart below). There are only a few recorded instances in human history when loss of life expectancy was greater than that seen in Cuba in 2021 — the highest jabbed nation in the chart.
Update: This post has been edited because I found one single year in history when Soviet Russia had worse loss of life expectancy than Cuba of 2021. Below is a second chart requested by a reader.
Note: The reported loss of life expectancy for Bosnia was actually the one for Botswana due to an erroneous error I made when copying over the data in Excel.
Talk about UAE and Bosnia??
