In June 2022, a lawsuit was brought by Dr. Paul Marik and two other doctors against the FDA for its egregious attempt to influence the practice of medicine by tweeting that ivermectin is meant for horses, not humans — even though ivermectin had been taken by hundreds of millions of people per year.
With their tweet, the FDA, long thought to be captured by the pharmaceutical giants, appeared to doing the bidding of the pharmaceutical industry and acting against the best interests of the people by attempting to de-legitimize a very promising drug — but one which did not have active patents, so that monopoly profits could not be had.
When government and corporations work together against the interests of the people — like when the FDA made that tweet about ivermectin — then you have a version of “fascism” which might also be called “crony corporatism.” To fix this, medical freedom should be restored in the USA (where government is removed from medicine).
It is the doctors, not the government, who have special knowledge about what is best for you, and the doctor-patient relationship should be held inviolable (i.e.,, government cannot interfere with the practice of medicine). Medical malpractice lawsuits may be needed, but no pre-emptory government medical regulation is needed.

We don’t need government regulators to protect us from our doctors. The free market — along with the judicial system which is implied by free markets — will do just fine. Finding doctors who practice by using the Hippocratic Oath which starts off with “First, do no harm” will be easier when meddling government hands are removed.
